This podcast focuses on the political giant Adam Clayton Powell, Jr..

Adam Clayton Powell looms large in the history of the United States House of Representatives. He had the greatest impact of any Black politician in the 20th Century.

He fought against racism by attaching his Powell Amendments to all federal legislation, he prevented any federal funds to go to regions of the country which practiced segregation. He fought to overcome his political foes and his own hubris to keep the fight going for minorities across the country.
